The course is designed for novice researchers or scholars who want to improve their\u00a0academic\u00a0English language skills. The Czech partner will issue a certificate upon completion of the course.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0The registration for a free course in Academic writing in English has been opened within the joint Ukrainian and Czech project &#8220;AgriSciences\u00a0Platform for Scientific Enhancement of HEIs in Ukraine,&#8221;\u00a0implemented by a consortium of 5 Ukrainian universities, including SSU. The project aims to strengthen the capacity and cooperation of young teachers, researchers,\u00a0and masters and doctoral students\u00a0in selected Ukrainian universities.<\/p>\n<p>The course &#8220;Fundamentals of Academic Writing&#8221; is designed for novice researchers or scholars who want to improve the quality of Academic English.<strong>\u00a0The application submission deadline is 15 December 202<\/strong><strong>1<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Upon successful completion of the course &#8220;Fundamentals of Academic Writing&#8221; in English, participants will receive a certificate from a Czech partner and will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Know the structure of the research article<\/li>\n<li>Be able to develop a research paper<\/li>\n<li>Have practical skills in\u00a0the\u00a0practice\u00a0of analytical and\u00a0synthetic analysis when writing an article<\/li>\n<li>Obtain developed academic reading skills<\/li>\n<li>Have in-depth academic writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Gain valuable phrases for writing an academic article<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course includes 80 hours of training and will run from 10 January to\u00a07 March 2022 and\u00a0will\u00a0be conducted\u00a0through the Canvas Learning Management System,\u00a0an\u00a0agile,\u00a0collaborative software application that allows both asynchronous and synchronous learning and teaching, engaging in teamwork, creating an academic atmosphere. Certificates will\u00a0be\u00a0issued to those who successfully have completed all tasks and passed at\u00a0least 70% of the top grade.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Who can apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Candidates must:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a teacher or a graduate student.<\/li>\n<li>Have advanced reading and writing skills in English (B2).<\/li>\n<li>Have regular and reliable access to high-speed Internet.<\/li>\n<li>Be prepared to spend 6 to 7 hours a week online for an 8-week course.<\/li>\n<li>Have a firm determination to improve academic research skills.<\/li>\n<li>Be\u00a0ready\u00a0to take an\u00a0active part in\u00a0online discussions and complete all\u00a0tasks on\u00a0time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To enroll in the course, please complete the online application by 15 December 2021\u00a0at this link:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/Susw9jEVb1HGNquCA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"external external_icon\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/Susw9jEVb1HGNquCA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The number of participants is limited; the\u00a0process of competitive selection of participants will be based on the analysis of applications and\u00a0preliminary\u00a0English testing.
