Professor of the Department Plastun Olexiy Leonidovych was invited to act as Editor-in-Chief of a special issue of the Journal of Risk and Financial Management (Switzerland).\u00a0The special issue of “Cryptocurrency Market” will be devoted to the cryptocurrency market and the specifics of its existence. The cryptocurrency market is quite young, but it already provides enough data and information to study various aspects of its development, evolution and future prospects.\u00a0The cryptocurrency market today is one of the most volatile. Is there anything specific about its pricing behavior? Can cryptocurrencies be real investment assets? Are they able to protect investors from inflation? How effective is the cryptocurrency market? Is it possible to get extra profits from trading in this market? Is the blockchain a real breakthrough in financial engineering or perhaps a cryptocurrency just a temporary bubble?\u00a0These and many other issues are of interest to this Special Issue.\u00a0Theoretical and empirical articles on the cryptocurrency market in a wide range of scientific interests are welcome.
