On June 08, 2023 the first module of a new education course started at the Department of International Economic Relations within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ Program Project \u00abImplementation of European Union mechanisms for combating modern challenges and threats\u00bb (101085700 \u2013 IMEU \u2013 ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEITCH-RSCH) (2022-2025 \u0440\u0440.) \u2013 \u201cEuropean Union Mechanisms for Global Risks Mitigation\u201d (EUM4GRM) (58 hours), provided by academics of the Department \u2013 PhD, associate professor Viktoriia Shkola and PhD, associate professor Maryna Domashenko, as well as external experts.<\/p>\n

The total audience of registered participants of the first module is 150 people from Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, UK, Ukraine, including scientists, academics and teachers, students, representatives of state and local authorities, business, as well as other stakeholders. During the meeting on June 08, 20203 the participants took part in the discussion “EU civil protection mechanisms: new challenges in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war” and in the debate in the format of Karl Popper on the topic “Man-made disaster at the Kakhovskaya HPP: predictions and mitigating the consequences of disasters in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war”.<\/p>\n

In general, within the Project, a series of activities<\/a> aimed at the formation of new knowledge about the EU\u2019s latest mechanisms for combating modern challenges and threats are scheduled.<\/p>\n
