7 Jun 2023, PhD, associate professor Oksana Zamora, as a Chair of the H2020-AURORAL project Advisory Board has attended its session titled \u201cGreener, bluer and brighter Smart Communities!\u201d which was held during the EU GREEN WEEK 2023 in Brussels. The objective of the session was to showcase the solutions that leads to a more digital, green, and inclusive future for all citizens based on pervasive green and digital skills and on Smart Learning Communities concept implementation. The agenda was presented by the distinguished guests, such as: DORIS MARQUARDT, European Commission, DG-Agri, Programme Manager, CARMEN CARVALHEIRA, Vice President of CCDR Alentejo, MARIA BOSTR\u00f6M, Communications and Office Manager at the North Sweden European Office, MARCOS NOGUEIRA, H2020-AURORAL Coordinator, SmarTomorrow promoter, ISABEL FERREIRA, Portuguese Secretary of State for Regional Development.<\/p>\n

Skills are essential for accessible, inclusive and sustainable innovation and especially as part of valuing regional clusters of smart competences and value-chains. Pervasive smart and green skills are therefore vital for regions and cities to succeed the triple \u2013 social, ecological and digital \u2013 transition. In the Smart Communities, specific attention is put on Skills and empowering all citizens to participate, use, contribute, and to co-develop smart systems, tools and services. This is part of H2020-AURORAL, and partner projects, agenda for Smart Learning Communities. The AURORAL project (Architecture for Unified Regional and Open digital ecosystems for Smart Communities and Rural Areas Large scale application) has been funded by Horizon 2020 RIA.<\/p>\n

During the session, the AURORAL Academy was presented (accessible at the link https:\/\/study.ed-era.com\/uk\/courses\/course\/2908<\/a> ). The Academy is aimed at co-creating an agenda of enabling skills to be shared, through cooperation with and among capacity building providers, namely universities and VET centres and local\/regional relevant networks.<\/p>\n
