On June 23, 2023, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Viktoriia Shkola, within the Project of the Programme EU Erasmus+ \u00abImplementation of European Union mechanisms for combating modern challenges and threats\u00bb (101085700 \u2013 IMEU \u2013 ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH) (2022-2025), has taken part in the 22nd<\/sup> Bavarian Micro Day held at the Chair of Applied Microeconomics of the University of Augsburg (Germany).<\/p>\n

The researchers and academics from University of Bamberg (Germany), Technical University of Munich (Germany), Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany), Sumy State University (Ukraine), Ulm University (Germany),\u00a0 University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany), University of Passau (Germany) have presented and have discussed the results of theoretical, empirical and experimental research.<\/p>\n

During the event, a number of issues, namely determinants of fathers\u2019 parental leave taking into account the aspects of Neoclassical theory, social norms and the role of the partner; public child care and mothers\u2019 career trajectories; foreign classmates and secondary education track choice during the \u201cRefugee Crisis\u201d (evidence from Germany); motivated procrastination; the coarseness of moral language; partisan effects of information campaigns in competitive authoritarian elections (evidence from Bangladesh) and a vertically differentiated duopoly model with environmental awards, have been discussed.<\/p>\n

In general, Bavarian Micro Day is aimed at doctoral students, post-docs and professors interested in microeconomics research in a broad sense, and \u00a0fosters the exchange and networking among microeconomists.<\/p>\n
