A PhD student of the Department of International Economic Relations became a
\nscholarship holder of the prestigious program named after Lane Kirkland in the
\n2024\/2025 academic year.
\nScholarship program named after Lane Kirkland, introduced by the Polish-
\nAmerican Freedom Foundation and the Leaders of Change Foundation, is aimed at
\nthe individual and scientific development of young leaders from Eastern Europe,
\nthe South Caucasus, and Central Asia, who are interested in the development of
\ndemocracy, economy and society in their regions. Graduates of the program are
\ncurrent members of governments, well-known public figures, and top managers of
\ninternational corporations.
\nWithin the framework of the Program, scholarship holders undergo a free two-
\nsemester study at a higher education institution in one of the four academic centers
\nof the Republic of Poland (the cities of Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, and Lublin), a
\nminimum two-week internship in governmental and non-governmental institutions,<\/p>\n
initiate their projects or conduct scientific research under the guidance of
\nexperienced Polish specialists and scientists.
\nThe Department of International Economic Relations congratulates Sofiia Petrenko
