On May 19, 2026, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Economics for Ecology” was held, which brought together young scientists, teachers and researchers to discuss the current economic and environmental challenges of our time.<\/p>\n

Students of the Department of International Economic Relations of Sumy State University presented the results of their own scientific research within the framework of the conference.<\/p>\n

In particular, Yulia TARASENKO made a report on the topic “Management of Enterprise Energy Consumption under Crisis Conditions”. Scientific supervisor – Oleksandr MATSENKO, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Doctoral Student of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration. In her work, the participant examined the features of managing energy consumption of enterprises in times of crisis and the need to implement energy-efficient solutions to ensure sustainable business development.<\/p>\n

Kateryna SAVCHENKO presented the report \u201cAnalysis of new markets for Ukrainian products in Africa, Asia and Latin America\u201d. Scientific supervisor \u2013 Svitlana TARASENKO, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations. The study was devoted to the analysis of the prospects for the entry of Ukrainian products into new international markets and the identification of potential opportunities for the development of Ukraine\u2019s foreign economic activity.<\/p>\n

Natalia LAKHTARINA presented the scientific work on the topic \u201cAnalysis of Case Studies of Post-War Reconstruction of Countries Around the World\u201d, which was carried out within the framework of the NSD \u201cFundamental Principles of Sustainable and Inclusive Development of the Regional Space for Post-War Recovery in the Conditions of Digital Transformation\u201d (No. 0125U001620), which is financed by the state budget of Ukraine. Scientific supervisor \u2013 Viktori\u0406a SHCHERBACHENKO, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer of the Department of International Economic Relations. The report considered the international experience of post-war reconstruction of countries (Germany and Japan) and the possibilities of its application for the future recovery of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Sofia DANILOVA delivered a report \u201cRegional Development Traps in Ukraine: Applying the Balland\u2013Boschma Approach\u201d. Scientific supervisor \u2014 Inna KOBLIANSKA, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Head of the Department of International Economic Relations. The study analyzed regional development traps in Ukraine and the possibilities of applying the Balland\u2013Boschma approach to assess structural transformations and increase the competitiveness of regions.<\/p>\n

The participation of students of the Department of International Economic Relations in the international conference was an important step in the development of their scientific activities, professional competencies and international academic communication. The Department is proud of the activity and scientific achievements of its students and wishes them further success in their research work.<\/p>\n
