{"id":39266,"date":"2026-05-25T09:43:33","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T06:43:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mev.biem.sumdu.edu.ua\/?p=39266"},"modified":"2026-05-25T09:43:33","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T06:43:33","slug":"departments-of-international-economic-relations-and-germanic-philology-join-the-launch-of-the-enlaced-digital-english-course","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mev.biem.sumdu.edu.ua\/en\/departments-of-international-economic-relations-and-germanic-philology-join-the-launch-of-the-enlaced-digital-english-course","title":{"rendered":"Departments of International Economic Relations and Germanic Philology Join the Launch of the ENLACED Digital English Course"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The international Erasmus+ project ENLACED \u2013 <em>Digitally-Enhanced Foreign Language Education for Active European Citizenship and Democratic Culture<\/em> has officially launched its innovative online English language course platform aimed at integrating democratic competences, civic engagement, and digital literacy into modern university foreign language education.<\/p>\n<p>The ENLACED project brings together universities and educational institutions from Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Cyprus and is coordinated by at.<\/p>\n<p>At, the project is implemented by the Department of International Economic Relations and the Department of Germanic Philology. The project coordinators in Ukraine are Olha Zhulavska, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor and Svitlana Tarasenko, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor.<\/p>\n<p>The launched platform includes 10 interactive units developed for\u00a0 B2-level English learners.<\/p>\n<p>The course covers the following themes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Freedom of speech and its limits;<\/li>\n<li>Fake news and media literacy;<\/li>\n<li>Civic engagement and youth participation;<\/li>\n<li>Stereotypes, identity, and inclusion;<\/li>\n<li>Democracy, activism, and protest;<\/li>\n<li>Online identity and privacy;<\/li>\n<li>Environmental citizenship;<\/li>\n<li>Law, justice, and responsibility;<\/li>\n<li>Intercultural communication and conflict;<\/li>\n<li>Public speaking, argumentation, and civic debate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each unit is built around challenge-based scenarios where students solve real-world democratic dilemmas while improving their reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills in English.
