Bachelor training

Disciplines, studied by students of the bachelor’s degree course of the major C1 Economics and International Economic Relations

Students of the bachelor’s degree course have to master the following disciplines:

  • Compulsory disciplines (subjects aimed at the formation of competencies defined by the state standard of specialty C1 Economics and International Economic Relations);
  • Elective disciplines (According to the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, elective disciplines must be at least 25% of all disciplines mastered by students during their studies),

The opportunity to choose disciplines is realization of an individual vector of study. It means that the student may obtain professional skills in related economic and/or other fields of knowledge, in addition to the required professional competencies. These subjects are of IT-orientation, jurisprudence, engineering, etc.

Elective courses for the next semester are selected by students exclusively electronically by voting for them in the catalog of elective courses, which is an integral part of the student’s personal account. On the one hand, it is a convenient and fast way of communication between the student and the dean’s office, and on the other hand, it enables to interfere in the choice of each of them. The vector chosen by the student from the disciplines of his/her choice forms his/her professional individuality – his/her competitive advantages in the labor market.

Assessment of academic success is based on the European credit transfer system ECTS (credit module system), and organizationally, it is implemented in the form of:

  • performance of tasks provided by the discipline during the semester, accumulation of a certain number of points and obtaining a final grade (differentiated test – test with grade);
  • performance of the tasks provided by the discipline during the semester, accumulation of a certain number of points, passing the final exam, after which the final grade is formed.

 Term of study for obtaining a bachelor’s degree: 3 years and 10 months.
