The lecturer of the department of International Economic Relations participated in the webinar on gender equality in the projects HORIZON OF EUROPE

Lecturer of the Department of International Economic Relations, PhD of Economics, Associate Professor Zamora O.M. took part in the international webinar of the Research Council of Lithuania on “Gender Equality in Horizon Europe”, which considered the specifics of considering this issue in project applications for the Horizon Europe program. In particular, the issues of research projects and development of gender plans of universities were discussed.

Gender policy is one of the key priorities of Horizon Europe and that is why it is important to cooperate and achieve the expected effect in this area, to learn how we can achieve the goals of gender equality, taking into account the best practices. During the event, speaker Janna Landers, Policy specialist, Gender Sector of the European Commission’s General Director for Research and Innovation, presented key investigations in gender equality at Horizon Europe and made a number of recommendations on how to use the gender dimension in research projects. The second part of the webinar was dedicated to the development and implementation of gender equality plans (GEP) for the Horizon program and the experience of speakers from the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Spain: Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS), Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) and Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC).
