On November 29-30, 2021, the Second Multidisciplinary Conference for Young Researchers “Trends and Challenges of Sustainable Development in COVID-19” was held at the Department of International Economic Relations of SSU BiEM SSU, bringing together representatives from Ukraine, the Czech Republic, China and Colombia. The conference was organized as a final event within the project of the Czech Agency for Development Cooperation “Interuniversity Cooperation as a Tool for Improving the Quality of Selected Universities of Ukraine” (2019-2021), implemented by SSU in consortium with four Ukrainian HEIs and the Czech University of Natural Sciences Science. Project Coordinator from SSU and SNAU was Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations, BiEM, SSU, Zamora O.M.
The main purpose of the conference was to give early career researchers the opportunity to share their research through the conference platform, to obtain informal professional feedback through discussions, and to establish contacts with professionals and other institutions. The conference solved many today’s important issues and provided an opportunity to join discussions on current trends in thematic sections: Sustainable Development Trends, Global Challenges and Threats of the Present, Development of International Economic Relations in the COVID Pandemic 19, Global Competitiveness challenges and threats. One of the significant advantages of this scientific meeting, which took place in a hybrid format (online and offline) is, of course, networking, the birth of ideas for new collaborations soon.
The staff of the Department of International Economic Relations from the National Academy of Sciences of Kyiv also presented the results of their research, including those funded by mini-grants in 2020 and 2021.
Based on the results of the conference, a collection of abstracts will be published, illustrated by SSU lecturer – Zamora O.M.
