GUEST / OPEN LECTURE INTERNATIONAL SECURITY: THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ AND THE BLACK SEA

The Department of International Economic Relations at Sumy State University invites students, postgraduate students, early-career researchers, and academic staff to attend an open guest lecture on “International Security: The Strait of Hormuz and the Black Sea.”

Guest Speaker:

Dr. Gerasimos Rodotheatos – PhD, Assistant Professor at the College of Security and Global Studies, American University in the Emirates (UAE).

The lecture will cover:

  • the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz and the Black Sea in the international security system;
  • current geopolitical challenges and security threats in strategically important maritime regions;
  • the impact of regional conflicts and international tensions on global trade, energy security, and international economic relations.
