On April 23, 2025, Lyudmyla Khomutenko, Deputy Director for Methodological Work of the Educational and Research Institute of Business, Economics, and Management of Sumy State University, participated in the All-Ukrainian Professional Seminar on Quality Assurance in Higher Education in the fields of Economics and Management. The event was hosted by Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University at the initiative of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA).
The seminar was held in a hybrid format: approximately 100 participants attended in person, while even more joined via videoconference.
The event focused on current issues related to quality assurance in higher education. In his report, “The Quality Assurance System in Higher Education: What Has Changed for Universities?”, Andriy Butenko, Head of the National Agency, highlighted new approaches to the evaluation of educational programs, the role of program guarantors, and the necessity of post-accreditation monitoring. Natalia Stukalo, Deputy Head of the National Agency, presented current European trends in education, including the transition from ESG 15 to ESG 27, and outlined key changes in the “Regulation on the Accreditation of Educational Programs 2024,” driven by European integration processes.
Special attention was given to discussing challenges in the accreditation of educational programs in the fields of knowledge 07 “Management and Administration” and 05 “Social and Behavioral Sciences.”
A traditional part of the seminar was the “Questions and Answers” session, where participants had the opportunity to receive comprehensive explanations regarding pressing issues and better understand the challenges facing higher education professionals. Informal discussions continued even after the official part of the event concluded.

Seminars like this serve as an important platform for professional dialogue, allowing educators to exchange ideas and proposals for the development of the higher education quality assurance system in Ukraine.
