CALL FOR THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC SUMMER SCHOOL ON WASTE MANAGEMENT

We invite the young researchers to participate in the international summer school on the topic: “Research in practice – Waste management”. It will take place on 22 – 31 August, 2019 in Bila Tserkva.

We invite 5 young researchers from the Sumy State University.The concept of the summer school is structured as an intensive course focused on current problematic of waste management in Ukraine. Czech scientists from the CULS are invited as the speakers. Working language is English.

Aims of the Summer School:

to enhance cultural exchange between Ukraine and the Czech Republic;

to improve research competencies of students, including writing scientific paper and presenting scientific results;

to strengthen skills in field survey, a specific emphasis will be dedicated to participatory methods.

The programme of the summer school consists of two parts:

(i) theoretical lectures providing a solid background to

(ii) a practical part – primary data collection (field survey), data processing and reporting.

The Summer school is organised within the framework of the joint project “Support of young university capacity in education and research and science activities in Ukraine“ supported by the Czech Republic Development Cooperation. The partners of the project are: Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University, Sumy National Agrarian University, Sumy State University, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (Czech Republic).The project Co-ordinator for the SSU and SNAU is Oksana Zamora, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations of the ERI of the Business Technologies “UABS” of Sumy State University.
