“European Green Deal: implementation in the EU”: a new education course within the EU Erasmus+ Project “Implementation of European Union mechanisms for combating modern challenges and threats”

On June 15, 2023 the second module of a new education course started at the Department of International Economic Relations within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ Program Project «Implementation of European Union mechanisms for combating modern challenges and threats» (101085700 – IMEU – ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEITCH-RSCH) (2022-2025 рр.) – “European Green Deal: implementation in the EU” (18 hours), provided by academics of the Department – PhD, associate professor Viktoriia Shkola and PhD, associate professor Maryna Domashenko, as well as external experts.

The total audience of registered participants of the second module is more than 160 people from Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, UK and Ukraine, including scientists, academics and teachers, students, representatives of state and local authorities, business, as well as other stakeholders.

During the meetings on June 15-17, 20203, the participants studied the mechanisms for the new EU growth strategy implementation, the EU energy sector development, the EU actions towards climate neutrality, the Circular Economy Action Plan and the Green Deal Industrial Plan, as well as discussed the issue of achieving the Green Deal goals in Ukraine under the challenges of the war.

In general, within the Project, a series of activities aimed at the formation of new knowledge about the EU’s latest mechanisms for combating modern challenges and threats are scheduled.
