On January 21-22, 2025, the first transnational project meeting of the consortium was held at Hitit University in Çorum, Turkey, within the framework of the project titled “Integrated Model of Strategic Excellence for Higher Education Institutions,” funded under the Erasmus+ program. The project is planned to last 24 months (December 31, 2024 – December 30, 2026). Sumy State University was represented by the Department of International Economic Relations, specifically by PhD, Associate Professor Oksana Zamora, and the Assistant to the Rector for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, PhD, Associate Professor Olha Liuta. During the meeting, the tasks of the project and its execution plan were discussed, the roles of each partner were defined, and a work plan for the upcoming period was outlined.
The purpose of the proposed research project is to develop a model that plans, executes, and analyzes the outcomes and results of universities’ service areas within the higher education ecosystem through a strategic management approach, revealing its impact on institutional performance. The model aims to measure the academic and administrative performance levels of universities through actionable and trackable sets of actions, integrating these with budgeting and prioritization mechanisms. Additionally, the proposed model is expected to contribute to the transparency and accountability qualities expected from public universities.
