Tetiana Kurbatova, an associate professor of International Economic Relations Department participated in the panel discussion “After the Oil Machine: how can we break our addiction?”, which took place on October 11 at the University of Sussex. At the event, the eponymous documentary film dedicated to the issues of oil production in Great Britain, society’s dependence on oil products consumption and the oil industry’s impact on the environment was premiered. After the film premiere, the raised issues were discussed with experts in the framework of the panel discussion that highlighted the complexities of transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy and the urgent need for drastic changes.
