Studying at the Institute for Business Technologies “UAB” of Sumy State University is carried out under the following educational programs:

- «International Trade and Logistics Services» (full English);
- «Economic Cybernetics»;
- «Business Analytics» (full English).
Almost 900 students are studied full-time. 200 students are enrolled in correspondence and distance learning. Full-time students have the opportunity to obtain parallel education in the fields of law and information technology, as well as to undergo military training with the award of a reserve officer. All students of the institute receive appendices for the diplomas of the European standard.
Students take an active part in various state-level subject competitions (Finance and Credit, Banking, Insurance, Investment, Financial Management, Public Finance, Finance, Informatics, Economic Cybernetics, Higher Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, and many others), demonstrating excellent results.
In addition, students are active participants in such competitions as: the national competition of the scholarship program “Zavtra.UA”, the all-Ukrainian investment research competition CFA Society Ukraine, the international investment research competition CFA Institute Research Challenge, the CIMA Ukraine Business Challenge All-Ukrainian Business Challenge Competition, Competition for scientific works by SAS Ukraine and others.
Our graduates occupy the positions of leading specialists and managers of banking, financial, insurance companies, work in tax authorities and consulting firms, IT companies in Ukraine as well as in foreign countries.
The teaching staff of the Institute for Business Technologies “UAB” is a team of true professionals. Among the teachers are more than 20 doctors of sciences and professors, laureates of scholarships and prizes of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
In general, in the scientific direction, the Institute continues to develop scientific schools initiated by the Ukrainian Academy of Banking of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Today, the institute actively carries out scientific activities in new directions. In 2017, five research works of the departments of the NNI BT “UAB” won the competition of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Every day the teachers of the institute increase their publication activity and get significant achievements in this direction. Thus, the articles of Professor of the Department of International Economical relations, Alexei Leonidovich Plastun, are stably included in the list of more than 330,000 authors registered in the list of the most popular in the authoritative base of scientific works SRN, which contains more than 730000 electronic versions of scientific works from around the world. Alex Plastun is one of the most popular SSRN authors (more than 1500 times loaded).
The institute is a founder of international scientific journals: «Journal of SocioEconomic Challenges», «Financial Markets, Institutions and Risks».
The scientists of the institute pay considerable attention to international cooperation. Teachers, post-graduate students and students take part in international projects, internships. They are often invited by the lecturers of higher education in Europe. Also, the departments of the Institute for Business Technologies “UAB” are increasing the volume of active international partnerships. In general, the institute has about 50 foreign partners, among them Institute of International Cooperation of the German Association of National Universities DVV International (Germany) and the University of Economics in Bydgoszcz (Poland)
Every year, students and teachers of the Institute take part in seminars of the High School of the Bundesbank (Germany) on the issues of the functioning and development of the banking sector in Europe. The Department of International Economics has joint research projects with the University of Naples (Italy), the University of Linneus (Sweden), the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and St. Louis (USA), the London School of Economics (UK) and others.
The scientists of the Institute are the participants of DAAD grant programs (Germany), Jean Monnet educational programs, Erasmus + (Italy). They take part in academic mobility programs at the Higher School Bank Institute (Czech Republic), Fulbright Academic Exchanges, internships under the ITEC program ( India), also participate in international programs of Poland, Sweden, Armenia, Japan, Finland and many others.
Students of the Institute for Business Technologies “UAB” are no less active in the direction of international cooperation. Thus, on the basis of the Institute’s treaties, as well as on their own will, training, internship and practice abroad are carried out at the leading European universities of higher education institutions such as the Higher School of Banking (Poland), Bankovní institut vysoká škola (Czech Republic), the University of Foggia (Italy) and others.
The Institute for Business Technologies “UAB” is a modern educational institution that is dynamically developing and has ambitious plans for the near future: the opening of a new PhD program in “International Economic Relations”, the continuation of the implementation of the strategy of entering scientific journals into the Scopus database, joining the British project Council in Ukraine “English for universities”, development and introduction of new distance courses and much more.
