SUMY STATE UNIVERSITY RESEARCH PRESENTED AT AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN INDONESIA

On 5 November 2026, Dr. Inna Koblianska, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of International Economic Relations at Sumy State University, delivered a keynote presentation at ICONBIT 2026 – International Conference on Digital Business and Innovation Management, organised by Universitas Negeri Surabaya, Indonesia.

Her presentation, “From Digital and Green Transformation to Sustainable Business Competitiveness: Rethinking Business Models and Value Creation,” highlighted research findings on how the twin digital and green transition is reshaping business competitiveness.

Particular attention was given to integrating digital technologies and circular economy principles into business models, developing dynamic organisational capabilities, and identifying emerging sources of competitive advantage. The presentation introduced a conceptual framework for sustainable digital business models that integrates value creation, delivery, and capture with circular economy practices across the product life cycle.

A central conclusion was that sustainable competitiveness requires more than adopting digital and green technologies. It calls for comprehensive business model transformation, stronger collaboration within economic ecosystems, and new approaches to assessing business performance.

Participation in the conference is a valuable opportunity to share Sumy State University’s research with the international academic community, promote Ukrainian scientific achievements, and contribute to international academic dialogue.

The presented findings also reflect research conducted within the project “Fundamentals of Sustainable and Inclusive Regional Spatial Development for Post-War Reconstruction in the Context of Digital Transformation” (#0125U001620, 2025–2027), funded by a grant from the state budget of Ukraine.
