From 16.10 to 21.10.2022 the Summer School on grant-funded research projects and from 22.10 to 28.10.2022 an educational trip took place in Prague. They were organized by the Technical Faculty of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague for Ukrainian representatives of the consortium universities within the framework of the project “ENHANCEMENT OF THE Ph.D. STUDENTS POTENTIAL FOR QUALITATIVE RESEARCH IN UKRAINE”
10 PhD students from Ukrainian universities, including 3 from Sumy State University, had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the university, meet with leading scientists of the faculties, discuss important topics for scientists and present their own. Among the interesting topics were publications in highly rated scientific journals and writing grant applications for scientific research. Speakers were professors from the Czech side: David Herak, Abraham Kabutey, Volodymyr Krepl, and Ms. Lutsia Koretkova and Hanna Tesson organized a great meeting and help during the visit. As part of the study visit, the participants visited such enterprises as Ventus-Aliance Ltd (Prague), U Medvidku brewery, GECO TABAK AS company (Karlóvá Vary), and also held meetings with colleagues from the faculties of Economics and Management, Ecology and the Institute of Education and Communications of the Czech University of Life Sciences of Sciences Prague with the aim of establishing partnership ties.
The winners of the virtual class “Practical tools of research funded by the grant” and the online course “Academic writing course” were the participants from Sumy State University: Agniya Gavrylina, Sofiya Petrenko and Veronika Litovtseva. It was also possible to join the summer school online.
After the completion of the training program, the equipment that was purchased as part of the project for the universities of the consortium was handed over to the university. The Department of International Economic Relations received a training drone for the newly opened specialty “Tourism”.
The development project “INCREASING THE POTENTIAL OF GRADUATE STUDENTS FOR QUALITY RESEARCH IN UKRAINE” (August-December 2022) is financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The project is implemented by the Czech University of Natural Sciences in Prague (Czech Republic) and Sumy State University in a consortium with other 4 Ukrainian universities: Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University, Sumy National Agrarian University, Polish National University and Chernihiv Polytechnic. The head of the project from the Czech side is David Herak, doctor, professor, Faculty of Engineering. Project coordinator from the Ukrainian side for Sumy State University is Oksana Zamora, PhD, associate professor of the IER, ARI BiEM.
