Participation in a virtual business session between representatives of Sri Lanka and the Ukrainian business community organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine

Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations Leonid Taranyuk and Ph.D., Associate Professor Inessa Yarova took part in a virtual business session between representatives of Sri Lanka and the Ukrainian business community, which was held by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine on January 20, 2022.

 

The introductory speech was given to: President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Gennady Chizhikov; Vichy Govindasami, President of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce; Sri Lankan Minister of State for Regional Cooperation Taraki Balasuria; Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Taras Kachka.

A video on trade and tourism opportunities in Sri Lanka and a video on trade and tourism / other opportunities in Ukraine were presented. The plenary session was followed by three sectoral meetings between Sri Lankan and Ukrainian companies. In two branch meetings prof. Leonid Taranyuk (Industry and Tourism) took part, where he presented the opportunities of the Department of International Economic Relations in Industry and Tourism. As a result of the meeting, the contact details of the representatives of Sri Lanka and Ukraine were obtained in order to establish cooperation.
