On September 6-10, 2022, the lecturer of the Department of International Economic Relations, PhD, associate professor Oksana Zamora took part in the mobility of youth workers KA105 within the Erasmus+ program. The mobility was organized by the Leszno Higher Humanitarian School named after S. Leszczynski and the youth NGO Fundacja Ambasadorzy Pomysów, with the support of the EU Training Academy (Poland).
During the mobility, the participants had the opportunity to meet fellow educators from all over Europe working in schools, higher education institutions and colleges, in NGOs. The aim of the training was to exchange with understanding of the practical ways and possibilities of introducing non-formal education into the formal system of education, as well as to share experience. In order to apply knowledge in practice during the event, tools of non-formal education methodology and active learning were applied.
Mobility participants discussed the following pressing issues: challenges teachers/teaching staff face at the national level; problems of early exclusion of young people from education; support at the European level to overcome the problems faced by educational institutions; formal education needs and possible alternatives and improvements. The Erasmus+ program and its opportunities for young people and educators were additionally presented.
