A graduate student of the International Economic Relations Department of SSU participated in the international youth exchange Erasmus + in Georgia

Tatiana Perederiy, a graduate of our department, participated in the international youth exchange Erasmus + in Georgia. The project “Mother Nature Calls Us” took place from August 10 to 19, 2021, in the mountain town of Bakuriani. 35 young people from Portugal, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Bulgaria, Georgia, and Ukraine also participated in the exchange.
The project aimed to inform how global environmental change should start in the local community and how our personal choices can positively impact. The project was filled with various activities on environmental issues and non-formal education. These activities included a mix of workshops, debates, role-playing games, simulations, and outdoor quests. The young people also got acquainted with the culture of the participating countries during the thematic evenings.
And during excursions, hikes in the mountains, communication with locals, students had the opportunity to make sure that Georgia, or rather Sakartvelo (as the Georgians themselves call it) is a country with an original unique culture, kind, sensitive people whose hospitality can be legends.
So, students should apply for such youth exchanges, training and other international projects because it is worth it. It is an excellent opportunity to gain new knowledge, experience, improve your English, make new friends and travel on a budget.
