At Sumy State University, the international project “Digitally-Enhanced Foreign Language Education for Active European Citizenship and Democratic Culture” (Erasmus+ KA220-HED) is being implemented by the Departments of Foreign Philology and International Economic Relations.
As part of the project, students of the Department of Foreign Philology took part in a discussion on the formation of democratic values in society through the analysis of narratives and language used in video stories by well-known companies. In particular, the viewing of the video about Bertha Benz’s story and the Mercedes-Benz campaign “Inclusion is unstoppable” became a starting point for discussions about equal opportunities, innovation, and inclusion in society.
During the sessions, participants improved their English language proficiency, practiced using argumentative structures, and developed critical thinking skills.
