On 2 October 2026, representatives of Sumy State University participated in the scientific and practical conference “The Use of AI in the Agri-Food and Landscape Sectors”, held in Uman. The conference was organised by the National Scientific Centre “Institute of Agrarian Economics”, the Analytical and Project Centre for Agri-Food Economics at the NSC “IAE”, and the Sofiyivka National Dendrological Park of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Inna Koblianska, Head of the Department of International Economic Relations at SumDU, and Vladyslav Piatachenko, representing the Department of Computer Science, took part in the Conference. Inna Koblianska presented her research “Nowcasting International Trade: Global Practices and the Ukrainian Context”. Vladyslav Piatachenko also delivered a presentation entitled “From Data to Decisions: LLMs and AI Agents in Agricultural Analytics”.
Participation in the conference provided an opportunity to present an interdisciplinary perspective on the use of modern data, analytical approaches, and artificial intelligence tools for the timely assessment of economic processes. Combining expertise in international economics and computer science opens new opportunities for developing solutions at the intersection of economic analysis, digital technologies, and AI.
Inna Koblianska also moderated a panel discussion on the use of artificial intelligence, bringing together researchers and experts working in agricultural digitalisation, international trade, agricultural analytics, and modern digital tools.
The conference also provided an opportunity to present results of the research project “Fundamental Principles of Sustainable and Inclusive Development of Regional Space for Post-War Recovery in the Context of Digital Transformation” (State Registration No. 0125U001620, 2025–2027), funded by the state budget of Ukraine.
