Seminar on the Role of European Practices in Green Tourism and Their Transformation for Implementation in Ukraine’s Post-War Development under the project ” European practices of green tourism and its transformation in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine” (Call: ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH, Type of Action: ERASMUS-LS, Acronym: Green tourism, Current Phase: Grant Management, Number: 101126971).

On February 21, 2025, a seminar was held on the role of European practices in the field of green tourism and their transformation for implementation in Ukraine’s post-war development under the project European practices of green tourism and its transformation in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine (Call: ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH, Type of Action: ERASMUS-LS, Acronym: Green tourism, Current Phase: Grant Management, Number: 101126971).Focus Group. The seminar was attended by lecturers from Ukrainian higher education institutions (HEIs) and interns from European HEIs, specifically representatives from Sumy State University, Technical University of Munich, Vytautas Magnus University, and Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

The seminar addressed the challenges and prospects of teaching the following disciplines: “European Practices of Green Tourism to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals”, “Digitalization of Green Tourism: European Experience”, “Transformation (Reengineering of Business Processes) of Green Tourism: European Experience”. These courses are being implemented using online learning platforms such as MIX and Moodle within the framework of the project European practices of green tourism and its transformation in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine (Call: ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH, Type of Action: ERASMUS-LS, Acronym: Green tourism, Current Phase: Grant Management, Number: 101126971). Additionally, the OK-Town tourism platform was presented, and its potential integration into the educational process was discussed, particularly for the “Tourism Business and Hospitality Industry” bachelor’s program at Sumy State University.

Following the presentations by seminar speakers, a discussion was held on the effectiveness of the project’s course implementation European practices of green tourism and its transformation in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine (Call: ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH, Type of Action: ERASMUS-LS, Acronym: Green tourism, Current Phase: Grant Management, Number: 101126971). As a result, proposals were formulated to improve the quality of teaching these courses during Ukraine’s wartime and post-war reconstruction.
