From March 4, 2024, students and post-graduate students of Sumy State University will start studying courses under the distance learning program with the support of the CERGE-EI Foundation. This became possible thanks to the support of the head of the Department of International Economic Relations, Doctor of Economics, Professor Yuriy Mykolayovych Petrushenko and the director of the CERGE-EI Foundation course program, Ph.D. Danijela Vuletić Čugalj. The training will occur in two terms: from March 4 to April 26 and from April 29 to June 21, 2024.
The lecturers of the Academic and Research Institute of Business, Economics and Management will accompany the courses with foreign colleagues as local instructors. The distance learning program involves teaching undergraduate economics courses at universities in Eastern Europe and the former USSR. This program aims to provide core and specialized courses that many institutions may find difficult to offer due to insufficient student demand or a lack of faculty with relevant experience. Most of the Western qualified lead instructors are based in Prague and the courses are taught in English.
