Students of majors 292 “International Economic Relations” and 051 “Economics” attended an online event held at the initiative of the Ukrainian Association of International Economics

On February 24, 2023, associate professor of the Department of “International Economic Relations” Lyudmila Khomutenko and students of specialty 292 “International Economic Relations” gr. ME-91a, gr. ME-11 and students of specialty 051 “Economics” gr. EN-92/1e and gr. ЕN-92/4е-0 at the invitation of the Ukrainian Association of International Economics and at the initiative of the Department of World Economy and International Economic Relations of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko KNU attended the online lecture of Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Honored Scientist and technician of Ukraine Zahariya Varnaliya on the topic “Shadow economy as an institutional threat to the economic security of Ukraine”.

The event was opened by Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, President of the Ukrainian Association of International Economics Anton Filipenko. Zakhary Varnalia’s lecture was devoted to consideration of issues of national security of Ukraine and, in particular, to the study of institutional threats to the economic security of Ukraine in modern conditions. The material was presented in a generalized and systematized form and covered the concept and structure of the shadow economy, ways of its de-shadowing. The lecture aroused great interest in the topic, and after its completion, the students received comprehensive answers to a number of rather complex and extremely interesting questions.
