On September 6-10, 2022, a teacher of the Department of International Economic Relations, Doctor of Economics, associate professor O.M. Zamora will take part in the Erasmus+ KA105 – mobility of youth workers, organized by Wyższa Szkoła Humanistyczna im. Króla Stanisława Leszczyńskiego (WSH) and the youth NGO Fundacja Ambasadorzy Pomysów, with the support of the EU Training Academy (Poland).
This project brings together European educators working in schools, universities and colleges, in public organizations to work on a better understanding of the practical path and possibilities of introducing non-formal education into the formal system. The benefits of education and lifelong learning for our society, which faces constant change and challenges, have been shown by many studies over the past decades. Non-formal learning has been highlighted as an important tool for developing new skills for Europe that can contribute to the engagement of young people facing difficulties at the societal level. Since 2012, the Council of Europe Recommendation confirms non-formal and informal learning as a principle for Member States to implement measures that allow young people to make the most of what they learn outside of formal education.
Using the methodology of non-formal education and active learning, participants will explore the extent to which non-formal education can be (and has been) implemented in formal education institutions. The project will also provide an opportunity to:
- Discuss the challenges faced by teachers/teachers at the national level;
- Combat early exclusion of young people from education through innovative teaching and learning;
- Develop partnerships and support at the European level to overcome the challenges faced by educational institutions;
- Work on the needs of formal education and discuss possible alternatives and improvements;
- Learn more about Erasmus+ and its opportunities.
