CLOUD HED Project News and Opportunities for Crisis-Resilient Higher Education

The team of the international Erasmus+ project CLOUD HED, in which the Department of International Economic Relations is a partner, has released a new issue of its Newsletter featuring the consortium’s key activities and upcoming events.

The project coordinator Verena Régent emphasized that in the coming months, the CLOUD HED consortium will focus on disseminating practical solutions for higher education institutions, educators, and managers working under conditions of instability and uncertainty.

One of the project’s key outcomes is the development of training materials for higher education teaching staff on organizing teaching and learning in times of crisis. These materials cover the following topics:

  • crisis-responsive teaching and decision-making;
  • digital teaching in low-resource environments;
  • supporting student engagement and wellbeing;
  • strengthening teacher resilience.

On September 16, 2026, at 09:00 CET, an international online event, Fireplace Talk, will take place on the topic “Digital Teaching in Low-Resource Environments and Unstable Infrastructure.”

In addition, the collective monograph “Higher Education in Times of War and Crisis” is expected to be published in autumn 2026, making an important contribution to the international discussion on the resilience of higher education systems.
