The Department of International Economic Relations at Sumy State University continues the implementation of an international COIL course that brings together students from Ukraine, China, and South Africa to collaboratively address global challenges.
The course is delivered in the Collaborative Online International Learning format, fostering intercultural teamwork and enabling students to co-develop practical solutions in the field of disaster risk reduction and community resilience.
At this stage, students have already moved to the design phase and presented the first prototypes of their projects. These include educational tools, interactive scenarios, and mini-curricula aimed at raising awareness of risks and promoting safe behaviour in various situations.
Working in international teams allows students to integrate diverse perspectives and experiences. This approach not only enhances professional skills but also strengthens intercultural competence, teamwork in a global environment, and decision-making under uncertainty.
The next stages will involve further development of the projects, feedback sessions, and final presentations that will conclude this international collaboration.
