IER Department Follows the Bonn Process Cosely

The European Service Centre for the Bonn Process cordially is going to hold the 3rd digital Bonn Process Meet-up online on 28 and 29 March 2023. Before this event the selected participants were invited for the preparation meeting, where an associate professor, PhD, of the Department of International Economic Relations Oksana Zamora took part. The preparatory sessions explained terms, concepts and aims of the European Youth Work Agenda and its implementation, known as the Bonn Process.
Youth work is currently facing many challenges across Europe: Whether it is a lack of skilled workers, mental health of young people and professionals or a lack of recognition of the youth work field – existing systemic challenges have been exacerbated by the pandemic and youth work structures have been further shaken in many countries. The European Youth Work Agenda, as a strategic framework for strengthening and developing youth work, provides a framework for youth work actors to address these challenges together across Europe. Once a year, the Bonn Process Meet-up invites all youth work actors across Europe to use this strategic framework as a basis for exchanging ideas on challenges, developing joint ideas on how to meet them, or sharing and advancing their own concrete projects and practice.
The digital Bonn Process Meet-up will:
  • provide an overview about recent developments in the Bonn Process
  • offer space to bring in your topics, experiences, ideas and needs at European level
  • support the bottom-up development of joint approaches and activities
  • kick-off longer-term cooperation within the community in the eight thematic priority areas and
  • offer space for networking with like-minded people.
