On November 13, 2024, a webinar was held as part of the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Project (Module) (No. 101126971 – Green tourism – ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH – “European practices of green tourism and its transformation in the context of post-war reconstruction in Ukraine”) to discuss the role of European practices in green tourism and its transformation for implementation during Ukraine’s post-war development period.
The speaker was Olena Kasian, a project team member and PhD student in the Department of Management at Sumy State University. Attendees included students and teacher from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Vilnius, Lithuania), students and teacher of Sumy State University, students of National University of Food Technologies (Kyiv) and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The webinar covered key informational topics, including the fundamentals of “smart” green tourism in EU countries. The OK Town platform was presented as a practical tool for implementing green tourism services, and European practices for marketing tools in promoting green tourism were examined. A lively discussion followed between students, attendees, and the speaker, during which organizational solutions were formulated for transforming green tourism within the framework of Ukraine’s post-war development, drawing on advanced European practices.
