During 2023, a series of idea labs took place as part of Jean Monnet`s module “The EU Experience for Increasing Youth Employment through Vocational Skills Development” The facilitator of the events was PhD, associate professor of the Department of International Economic Relations of Sumy State University Oksana Zamora. The laboratories were conducted both based on Sumy State University and at the request of the academic community of other educational institutions, for example, the Academy of Labor, Social Relations and Tourism (Kyiv) and Chernihiv National University named after Petro Mohyla.
During the laboratories, the main result of the project was presented – a free online course that is constantly updated, as well as current grant opportunities from the EU for Ukrainians within the EU financial period 2021-2027, after which there was a discussion on the specifics of certain calls and their requirements. Some participants requested individual consultations after the event.
The participants were interested in the possibilities of receiving grants from Ukrainians during the war for research and educational needs (e.g. resident and non-resident fellowships, travel grants, etc), as well as individual initiatives. A special attention was dedicated to the current trends in terms of EU funding programs available in Ukraine. The facilitator invited participants to follow pages/chats of social media, which she regularly replenishes on a volunteer basis with grant opportunities (Facebook group of the
Association of Project Managers of Ukraine, Telegram channel of the department, Facebook group and page of the department, Facebook group of PhD students of Sumy State University).
The series of laboratories was implemented within the framework of the project “EU Experience For Increasing The Level Of Youth Employment Through The Development Of Professional Skills” (SKILLS4JOB), funded by the Erasmus+ program Jean Monnet Module (ERASMUS – JMO -2021-MODULE –SKILLS4JOB-101047867).
