. The topic: “Sustainable Rural Development through Agrarian Cooperation”. It is planned to host 15 participants from the SNAU and SSU universities of the Sumy city together with participating students from the Czech Republic. Speakers are the international experts of the project.
Aims of the Summer School:
– to enhance cultural exchange between Ukraine and the Czech Republic;
– to improve research competencies of students, including writing scientific paper and presenting scientific results;
– to strengthen skills in field survey, a specific emphasis will be dedicated to participatory methods.
The concept of the summer school is structured as an intensive course focused on current problematic of rural development in the rural areas of Ukraine. The programme of the summer school consists of two parts: (i) theoretical lectures providing a solid background to (ii) a practical part – primary data collection (field survey), data processing and reporting.
The summer school work plan is focused on a research of the aforementioned topic through field visits to the local farms, collection of data and their analysis within the mixed international groups under the support of teachers.
The participation fee including cofee-breaks and lunch is covered by the project. Working language: English (the participant must have a communicative level of English skills). As a result of the event, the participants will receive the certificates of participation in the international summer school. Handout materials, coffee breaks and lunches are provided.
The project “ENHANCEMENT OF CAPACITY BUILDING PROCESS IN QUALITY OF EDUCATION AND RESEARCH SSU AND SNAU” was launched in May 2017. The project is implemented under the financial support of the Czech Development Agency. The project partners are: Czech University of Natural Sciences, Prague (Czech Republic), Centre for Higher Education Studies (Czech Republic), Sumy National Agrarian University and Sumy State University.
