Participating the coordinator of the EU Erasmus+ Project ‘Implementation of European Union mechanisms for combating modern challenges and threats’ in the International Summer School at the University of Liverpool

On 01-19 July 2024, the coordinator of the EU Erasmus+ Project “Implementation of European Union mechanisms for combating modern challenges and threats” (101085700 – IMEU – ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEITCH-RSCH), PhD, Associate Professor Viktoriia Shkola participated in the Online International Summer School at the University of Liverpool (Great Britain).

Within the International Summer School, participants took the course “202324-IEEL026 – Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Global Challenges, Local Action, Achieved Outcome”, conducted under the guidance of Prof. Adam Mannis.

During the event, the participants considered the SDGs, global risks and climate emergency, issues of addressing current and future social, environmental and economic issues in an integrated way, local actions for SDGs, climate action toolkit for the HE Sector, sustainable development in the European Union, psychology of sustainable behaviour, the principles of the wellbeing economiсs for COVID-2019 recovery, etc. Moreover, participants conducted individual research on local innovative projects aimed at tackling global challenges and threats in the context of achieving the SDGs and presented and discussed the research results.

Overall, the event fostered research and collaborative learning skills and equipped the learners to be competitive and confident in contributing to a better world.
