On October 27-29, 2023, an interesting event for the youth of the city of Sumy and the Sumy region took place based on the Sumy State University Congress center – a simulation game “In the shoes of a deputy”. The project’s goal was to provide an opportunity for participants to feel themselves in the shoes of local deputies, try to understand how local self-government works, work out solutions, create coalitions, promote their initiatives and gather votes for their support. The participants were allowed to feel like real deputies, participate in the development and adoption of local initiatives, and work in a real session hall. See how it happened in the video.
The game “In the Skin of a Deputy” was implemented by the NGO “Sumy Youth Organization “Lyceum” with the support of the Youth and Sports Department of the Sumy Regional State Administration, the NGO “Space of Equal Opportunities” and the Department of International Economic Relations of Sumy State University.
